ArtsMusic Productions is a small production company specializing in classical and educational CDs and DVDs. ArtsMusic Productions was founded in June 2008 by Sandra Nikolajevs, director of Chamber Music Charleston (a nonprofit performing arts organization that presents classical concerts throughout the greater Charleston area).
In 2008 ArtsMusic Productions released their first DVD, “Circle Unbroken,” which received numerous awards including “Best Children’s Film Award” at the XXIV Black International Cinema Berlin Film Award 2009 and “Award of Excellence” at the 2009 Accolade Competition in La Jolla, Calif.
“Circle Unbroken” is an adaptation by Sandra Nikolajevs of Margot Theis Raven’s critically acclaimed children’s story of the same name. Music of William Grant Still is performed by a string quartet of musicians as an actor narrates the story and original watercolors by E.B. Lewis are displayed.
